Poonam Pandey, model-actress and one of the most controversial celebrities lost the battle of life to cancer. A post from her Instagram account breaking the untimely demise of the actress left people dumbfounded.
Instagram confirmed the news on Friday morning. ”This morning is a tough one for us. Deeply saddened to inform you that we have lost our beloved Poonam to cervical cancer. Every living form that ever came in contact with her was met with pure love and kindness. In this time of grief, we would request privacy while we remember her fondly for all that we shared,” reads the post.
India TV journalist Namrata Dubey informed that Poonam passed away at her residence in Uttar Pradesh.
Cervical cancer is the fourth most common cancer in women globally, with an estimated 604,000 new cases and 342,000 deaths in 2020.
